I love spending time with friends, whether playing board games that make us laugh or video games that test our skills. I’m always curious and enjoy learning new things, whether a new game strategy or an interesting fact about technology. I have a background in Actuarial Science, which sparked my interest in problem-solving and data. When I’m not working, you might find me exploring new places, reading about the latest tech trends, or just relaxing with a good movie. My love for teamwork and sharing ideas helps me stay connected with others and continue growing

In my role as a Research Software Associate, I create and work with computer programs that help scientists understand 3D images of biological samples. This involves building special algorithms to find important details in complex data, as well as labelling and organizing images so that computers can learn from them; a process called annotation and segmentation.
Recently, I’ve been analyzing placentas from different species, including mice, horses, humans, and donkeys. My goal is to segment and identify the villi structures and blood vessels (vasculature) in these placentas, which helps researchers understand how each species supports development before birth.
To make our work faster and more accurate, I use a method called transfer learning, where we adapt pre-trained models to fit our needs. This approach helps us develop better solutions more efficiently.

My Typical Day:
On most days, I work from home. I wake up, freshen up, and get ready for my first meeting, which is usually at 10 a.m. Some days, it’s at 8 a.m. After the meeting, my manager shares the tasks for the day, and I get started. I take a break at 12, usually preparing pasta for lunch since it’s quick to make. I finish work by 5 p.m. and get ready for the evening—sometimes I go to the gym, other times I relax at home or jump into Warzone (Call of Duty). -
