AI can be used for various things to improve things to be quicker, take less resources and be better. A lot of the times in a work setting, someone will come to you with a problem and ask for you to fix it or make it better. Let’s say someone came to you to say hey we have a problem where every time someone asks us for camera footage at our store, we have to manually go in and blur everyone’s faces which takes 4 hours per video. We explore ways of using AI for this such as trialing new solutions that autoblur things for us. Now this task that used to take 4 hours, only takes 10 minutes! That is a huge improvement of efficiency.

For large language models that can also be relating to summarising meetings. Usually in a meeting someone has to take the time to write up notes and go over the meeting to do this, with the use of LLM we don’t need to do this anymore as it is done at the click of a button!

Consider a large computer system – maybe with 1000s of components, both hardware and software. Monitoring that is hard enough given the amount of data likely to be generated by it. Then optimising the way that it works and doing that in near realtime is going to be even harder. This is where something like AI might be able to help.

There are various tools out there that is being used to help people write better emails, take notes and provide summary of key points during a meeting. Developers are even using it to write, bug fix code. All of these and many more are used to improve efficiency. Using AI tools reduce the effort for developers to produce code for example. It can also help with accuracy.
