Most F1 teams make the majority of the parts for the cars themselves. The Mercedes team has a factory in Brackley in Oxfordshire where the body of the car is built and another in Brixworth in Northamptonshire where they build the engines. They also have a team of software engineers that write all the code needed to make the cars go and to analyse all the data and help support the trackside operations during a race weekend.
