I love the fact that we keep on learning and this never stops! I steer more towards technology as I enjoy playing with computers and physical equipment but this is also possible in other forms of science! Biology means learning to use medical equipment, physics doing crazy experiments and chemistry working with formulations. Everyday is a new medicine, a new type of tech, a new invention and that’s what I love about science

I love the learning aspect – it feels like we’re always pushing a little bit further in what people know. Even in my job as a teaching researcher, we get to explore and push a little bit more.

For me, it’s finding out how things work. Even when I was a kid, learning to play the piano, I’d take the front panels off (when Mam wasn’t looking) to see how the sounds were made. Even now, the learning never stops!

I also love to teach/train/coach others – seeing the “light come on” in their eyes when they understand something, or when their programs run for the first time, is magical.
