The worst bit would be when I have to do things that I’ve done before. It might help others but can be a bit boring. I would much rather be working on something new.
When people make appointments with you, fail to show up and don’t even let you know they cannot attend.
Also, people who like the sound of their own voice too much and can’t/won’t listen to others.
This of course is not unique to science or STEM careers, you can find this at any employer.
I get to solve interesting problems using cool technologies and working with smart people to do it. That is really why I enjoy my job so much. Always something new to learn, new “toys” to play with, new people to meet and problems to solve.
