I do not. In my work place everyone just wears regular clothes in the office. The people the work on actually building the satellites will wear special cleanroom clothes that are only worn in the cleanroom so that nothing we send into Space gets contaminated.
No, and we don’t even wear lab coats. My “uniform” is a cartoon t-shirt, hoodie, and skirt and leggings. I work in a university so being less formal is fine.
No. I wear warm clothes because the workshop where the cultures are in is cold! So I do wear a work waterproof coat to protect my clothes and stop contamination. Also safety boots but no uniform.
I did have a uniform in my previous role in IT but no longer. In IT at IKEA, you regularly go around the store to try and fix problems which without a uniform, would be a little strange. Imagine a random person coming up to co-workers and taking apart their PC! It may raise alarm bells. My uniform was also super helpful in carrying my tools around such as screwdrivers, remotes, snips and more. Not to mention when you get home you can throw it all off and have clean clothes under. In my latest role where you do not go in-store that often, it’s not needed. I can show up in jeans and a sweater on a breezy day.
