      If I am being honest, to a beginner, my role could be seen as quite hard. Roles in tech are very demanding and require you to learn a lot quickly to keep up. This means that one day all your knowledge will be made redundant with something as simple as an OS update (has actually happened to me before!) If you enjoy learning and figuring out problems, IT is the right job for you.

      Nothing comes easy at the start but with enough drive, motivation and a want to learn, things get a lot easier quickly. If that is you, then you’ll be a rockstar in the industry.

      My job can definitely be challenging, as it’s very self-directed and there are no obvious answers or guidance on what you should be doing in a day. It’s definitely become easier as I’ve gotten the hang of it, but you have to stay resilient in the face of challenges rather than giving up too early.
